This represents the thesis project by Heather Bradtke. Fieldwork was conducted during the summers of 2001 and 2002. The area encompassed the Blue Mountains (Grant, Morrow, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and Wheeler counties, Oregon; Asotin, Columbia, Garfield, and Walla Walla counties, Washington) for a total of 2,426 mi2 ranging in elevation from 2,000 to 7,900 feet. Collected were 11,334 specimens documenting 915 unique taxa. Species of conservation concern were numerous but not listed. Also vouchered were an unknown number of exotics including noxious weeds. Funding was provided by the Umatilla National Forest and the University of Wyoming. Thesis not completed.
